The Connections through Culture grant programme aimed to build long-term relationships and collaborations between creative and cultural organisations in the UK and 6 countries in Southeast Asia.137 projects were funded and 81% were developmental projects, which build skills and professional capability. From the questionnaire, 88% of respondents noted a continued relationship with their counterpart after the CTC project ended, and 82% rated the level of equity in the relationship as high or very high. 78% of respondents reported that as a result of the project, they had increased their capacity and confidence to address gender, disability or other inequalities. The evaluation and review after four years provide evidence to enable better planning and stronger outcomes for UK cultural relations in the region and the development of the creative sectors in the UK and Southeast Asia.
