Did you know? German is the second language most often asked for in UK job adverts! It’s a really useful language – and it’s fun to learn! While numbers studying German have recently been falling, the National Consortium for Languages Education is working to address this.
As a partner in the Consortium, the British Council organised a series of workshops for schools, introducing the German language along with cultural information about the countries where German is spoken.
These fun and engaging resources, created for primary pupils and secondary students, are now available for you to download for free and use in your classroom. They have been designed to be used by any teacher, whether German speaker or not.
The PowerPoint files can be found here and then associated pdf worksheets and lesson plans are in the downloads section at the bottom of the page.
