Urvashi contributed to the management of the Covid-19 pandemic in India, the implementation and monitoring of the SDGs and the promotion of gender equality and social inclusion. Voted one of Businessworld’s 40 under 40, 25 most influential women in healthcare and 100 most influential women in India, she graduated from Birmingham and Cambridge Universities, and LSHTM. She received an honorary doctorate in recognition of her work in public health. Urvashi is a Stage 4 lung cancer survivor.
