We are inviting festival managers from across the world to join us in Edinburgh for a week of inspiration and learning in April 2018. Building on the success of IFA Edinburgh 2016, we are working with Festivals Edinburgh to deliver this intensive, short course across five key areas of festival management:
- Fundraising
- Business models
- Marketing and audience development
- Measuring impact
- Programming policy
The modules have been developed in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University and designed to blend theory with hands on learning. You'll come away with the skills and knowledge to increase the sustainability of your festival, develop audiences and grow reach. You'll also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers from across the globe and gain insight into a number of the 11 festivals happening across Edinburgh annually.
Building on the skills you have already developed in your career, this course aims to diversify your skillset by harnessing the expertise of the Edinburgh Festivals, from the world’s leading festivals city. The course does not focus on artistic or programming aspects of festivals but rather their business management.
