ELTons awards ceremony attendees

The ELTons showcase innovation across English language teaching, learning and assessment globally

In the English teaching world, the ELTons are considered a mark of quality as well as originality. The ELTons bring together innovators and experts transforming the English language teaching landscape.

Entrants to the Awards are diverse. They include materials writers, teachers, test writers, school owners, academics and programmers, as well as publishers and EdTech companies. This year, we have received an impressive field of over 200 entries from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, spanning the different needs of English language learners at every age, in diverse contexts.

ELTons finalists and winners report that the awards raise the profile of their work and allow them to reach new networks and audiences. The newly created ELTons Festival of Innovation is designed to enhance this, providing finalists with the opportunity to share their expertise alongside other industry experts.

Celebrating diversity, promoting accessibility

The British Council is committed to ensuring the ELTons Innovation Awards are inclusive and reflect the broad diversity of English language education around the world. We welcome and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
