Alumni UK is the largest global network for international UK alumni, connecting people around the world who have studied a UK education.

British Council invited members of Alumni UK to tell us about:

• Their views of the world today, and their opinions of the UK’s place in the world

Connections Through Culture Evaluation Report

The Connections through Culture grant programme aimed to build long-term relationships and collaborations between creative and cultural organisations in the UK and 6 countries in Southeast Asia.137 projects were funded and 81% were developmental projects, which build skills and professional capability. From the questionnaire, 88% of respondents noted a continued relationship with their counterpart after the CTC project ended, and 82% rated the level of equity in the relationship as high or very high.

UK/Ukraine Season of Culture

The evaluation of the Season programme was organised around the six dimensions of tthe OECD DAC evaluation framework (relevance, coherence, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, sustainability) as well as UK soft power and perception of the British Council. The evaluation is based on research using a mixed-mode data collection methodology, involving the collation of secondary programme data alongside the collection of primary data via online surveys and in-depth interviews.

Going Global Partnerships & Legacy Review - East Asia

HESA reviewed documentation for GGP programmes in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, and South Korea. (Hong Kong programmes have been excluded from this evaluation due to their significant departure in programme structure and outputs.) The GGP – East Asia partnership network encompasses the 127 partnerships spread across 116 unique East Asian partner HEIs in 8 countries and 79 cities. These are represented in the figure on page 11.
