The internationally known author and New York Times journalist Thomas L. Friedman, talks to members of the Future Leaders Connect programme in the UK Houses of Parliament about economics and how technology is changing the world, and what policymakers should do about it.
Future Leaders Connect is a major British Council initiative to bring together aspiring young policymakers from around the world to learn from each other and discuss the biggest issues that the world will have to solve in the future, including those posed by what Friedman calls ‘the Age of Accelerations’. The top global policy priorities according to those taking part in the programme last year were set out in the recent Generation Rising report.
Applications for this year’s programme are now open and will close on Sunday 13 May 23.59 UK time, for those aged 18-35 and based in one of the following countries: Canada, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Tunisia, UK and USA.
