Enabling collaborative, inclusive research
We support collaboration, mobility and research capacity strengthening through our science activities worldwide, to develop and broaden interaction between the UK and international partners, and to help grow a global community of science and research activities.
Through our grant programmes, we support institutional partnerships, small to medium size research grants, impact and capacity strengthening funding, and activities focusing on inclusion in the research community. We support mobility and career strengthening through our Women in STEM master’s scholarships and Inclusive Knowledge Exchange fellowships for early career researchers.
Within Going Global Partnerships, we fund a range of pilot, networking and capacity strengthening activities to enable sustainable institutional partnerships in science. These fund researchers to undertake early-stage projects, develop systems and institutional strengthening links, and support joint workshops around shared global challenges.
As a UK partner organisation for the International Science Partnerships Fund, funded by the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, we support opportunities including collaborative research grants, workshops, capacity strengthening and early career fellowships, to support researchers at all career stages to work toward more inclusive and globally connected science. These activities are primarily bilateral, supporting co-designed and shared activities between the UK and several partner countries around the world.
