Education agents and counsellors play a critical role in marketing UK education and supporting international students on their journey to the UK. The British Council's International Student Mobility team works with agents and counsellors across the world to ensure that international students considering the UK as a study destination enjoy a high-quality experience.
The British Council also works closely with organisations in the UK higher education sector including the British Universities' International Liaison Association (BUILA), Universities UK International (UUKi), the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA), Association of Colleges, Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and English UK to develop the UK’s approach to working with education agents and counsellors. This includes working on the Agent Quality Framework (AQF), managing and developing the UK agent and counsellor training and engagement hub, hosting the global database of UK certified counsellors, and delivering in-person and online events for agents and counsellors.
