The British Council is proud to be a strategic partner for the What Works Hub for Global Education – an international partnership dedicated to implementing education reforms at scale. The What Works Hub for Global Education (WWHGE) is an international initiative aimed at helping governments implement effective education reforms at scale, particularly in low and middle-income countries. The hub focuses on translating evidence from research into actionable policies, ensuring that best practices in improving learning outcomes – such as literacy, numeracy, and other foundational skills – are effectively adopted across educational systems.
In its role as a Strategic Partner to WWHGE the British Council will act as advisor, facilitator, and convenor, enhancing the impact of the Hub through use of our education networks, contextual insight, local knowledge and convening expertise. We will bring together policy makers, evidence creators, donors, NGOs and other stakeholders in the research and education ecosystems. The British Council will do this in individual countries and across the international education ecosystem, to build dialogue around evidence-based decision-making to strengthen foundational learning outcomes.
