As part of International Education Week and to mark our Reading for Pleasure school partnerships programme, we were delighted to host a live online event celebrating the joy of reading. 

You can use this recording for your own workshop. Listen to Alex as he reads his poems and use your imaginations to draw the animals that feature in his poems. Alex also tells us what reading means to him and the importance of reading for his writing and in his life.

The workshop is aimed at primary level, ages 7 to 11.

Reading for pleasure school partnerships

Over the last six months, schools in the UK and Jamaica who have been taking part in our current Reading for Pleasure programme. At the end of the workshop, pupils from Edenderry Primary School in Northern Ireland told us about what they have been doing with their partner school.
