New Narratives Challenge Winners
#NewNarrativesChallenge winners.

Late last year, we launched the #NewNarrativesChallenge as part of the New Narratives programme dedicated to amplifying plural narratives of countries of Africa and the UK, empowering content creators and storytellers, and creating opportunities for collaboration across both places.

The Challenge encouraged young people in countries of Africa and the UK to tell new stories of their countries using creative videos and concepts. It ran for three weeks and received 245 submissions from 21 countries.

Check out some video submissions here.

We are inspired by the submissions that we received and the stories told by every young person that participated in the challenge.

We are also pleased to announce our top ten winners! These young people, through their submission, represented the idea of a #NewNarrative by telling new stories showcasing their cultures, people, and values.

The challenge is however far from over. As part of our commitment to amplifying plural narratives of countries of Africa and the UK, we are launching a second campaign soon! Keep an eye out on our social media channels and sign up for our newsletter to get firsthand information about our latest opportunities.
