ABOUT
'The shape of global higher education' generates greater knowledge and understanding of the policy environment for international higher education, and supports policy makers and higher education professionals in comparing and benchmarking the level of national support for international engagement in higher education.
The research now covers more than 50 countries.
The commentary in this volume focuses on six countries in Eastern and Southern Europe, including four new national overviews (Croatia, Cyprus, Hungary and Romania) and two countries we've explored in a previous volume (Bulgaria and Poland). It looks at the policy environment for higher education, in particular with a view to how policy supports international student mobility, research collaborations and transnational education (TNE).
This report is an annex to “The shape of global higher education: International comparisons with Europe” and shares much of the overarching analysis.
