Responding to the growing body of evidence suggesting mutual advantage for international collaborators in tertiary education, Environment for Transnational Partnerships and UK Qualifications combines desk research, numerous semi-structured interviews and survey analysis to explore both the explicit and implicit challenges to greater collaboration in higher education.

The report focuses on 16 countries, identifying key challenges for institutions, regulatory bodies and government and setting a series of strategic recommendations for actors at all levels.

This research was commissioned by the British Council under our Going Global Partnerships programme. Going Global Partnerships build stronger, more inclusive, internationally connected higher education and TVET systems.
