We have researched Transnational Education (TNE) for over two decades and have built up a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the role TNE plays and the environments in which it operates.

We developed six short documents capturing key findings from our recent research reports. The briefs focus on:

  • Data and inisights on UK TNE
  • Impact of TNE on local and global context
  • Creating eneabling environments for TNE
  • TNE student experience
  • How landscape of TNE is evolving

While these reports provide valuable insights, it is important to note that TNE is a dynamic area, constantly evolving with new policies and regulations being introduced in various countries. Ongoing research may add new perspectives or modify existing interpretations. We recommend checking the links at the bottom of this page, to learn about our upcoming/ future research in this area.

We have organised these reports around the four actions identified in our TNE Strategy 2023-25:

  • contribute to better data and insight on UK TNE,
  • create an enabling environment for TNE in other countries and promote the quality of UK TNE internationally,
  • contribute to a better understanding of the local context and facilitate a regulatory and operational environment to best support TNE partnerships
  • support TNE, to contribute to the transformation of local education systems and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Each report includes references to our previously published research papers, as well as links to other relevant data sources.
