Botswana is leading the way in green skills development, recognising that sustainable growth relies on both - new technologies and a skilled workforce. Through the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme and greening TVET initiatives, we support Botswana’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges in adapting to the demands of a green economy. By enhancing curricula and fostering partnerships, we are empowering institutions to equip students with the skills needed for the green transition, ultimately driving economic growth and sustainable development in Botswana.

In the Duchy College press release below you could read about some of the achievements of the partnership between Duchy College, Outsourcery LLP and 4 agricultural colleges in Botswana - Serowe Brigades, Tshwaragano Brigades, Shoshong Brigades and Barolong Vocational Training Centre.

One of the partners – Duchy college – was also a host to an exciting visit from the royal family.

This International Skills Partnership is supported by funding from the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships programme. Going Global Partnerships supports universities, colleges and wider education stakeholders around the world to work together towards stronger, equitable, inclusive, more internationally connected higher education, science and TVET.
